The AES Foundation held their inaugural Day of Giving on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at their Arby's location at 4905 US 60 East in Huntington, West Virginia. AES representatives and local team members awarded ten local charities with $10,000 each based on their impact in the Tri-State community. The Day of Giving was created to give back to the communities in which AES Restaurant Group employees work and live, and this year, they awarded over $100,000 to non-profit organizations throughout the Charleston-Huntington area. The charities chosen to receive the gifts at the event were chosen based on their applications, impact on the community, alignment with the Arby’s values, and fiscal responsibility. They included: Golden Girl Group Home West Virginia Kids Cancer Crusanders God's Hands At Work Pike County Central High School Band Children's Home Society of West Virginia Secret Santa Foundation , Inc Windsor Township Volunteer Fire Department Soul Food of Kentucky Jeremiah Tree Foundation The Huntington City Mission Throughout the year, customers across the AES footprint can round up or donate funds to non-profit organizations. Locally, AES Restaurant Group owns and operates twenty Tri-State area Arby’s locations. Because of the generosity of their customers, the AES Foundation was able to change thousands of lives through their first-ever Day of Giving.
