AES Restaurant Group LLC recently announced the purchase of twelve Arby’s restaurants located in Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan. With this acquisition, AES now owns and operates 170 restaurants and has extended their footprint into their 16th state.
 
“We are so excited to add these locations to the growing AES family. These restaurants have a long history of success and service to the community. We could not be prouder to enhance the impact these restaurants and teams will continue to have in Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan,” said John Wade, CEO and Founder.
 
The management and restaurant teams will remain the same but will now be under the leadership of twenty-year Arby’s veteran, Vice President of Operations Robert Bird. We have a plan to remodel and revitalize the restaurants and are thrilled to be part of these Arby’s legacy markets.

​On February 13, 2023, our Arby’s restaurant, located at 1045 Winchester Avenue in Ashland KY, discovered their drive-thru credit card terminal had not transmitted charges to our credit card processor over a period of several months. When we fixed this issue, the terminal processed those drive-thru transactions, causing unexpected charges to our guests. Impacted guests visiting this Arby’s drive-thru from October of 2022 through February 13, 2023 had not been previously charged for their orders during this timeframe, and their credit cards were not charged until this week. While these are legitimate charges related to real transactions, we understand the inconvenience the late posting creates for our valued guests and we want to make this right. Arby’s located at 12433 Maple Street in Glade Spring, VA (in the Petro Travel Center) opened its doors Tuesday, May 31. The new location is excited to showcase the restaurant at the Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 11, 2022 with a ribbon cutting at 9:30 am and grand opening at 10:00 am.
